CURRENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

TRASH CLEAN UP AND/OR BEAUTIFICATION PROJECTS

Bored? Looking for something to do? Would like to get outside? Join us once a month on the 3rd Saturday of each month for a trash clean up or beautification project. Look under Events for each month's activity and location.

Or if you would like to do a clean up on your own or as a family or group project, please contact us and we can provide a location in town that needs attention!

On Going Volunteer Opportunities:

PHOTOGRAPHER

A photographer is needed to attend KFMB events and take photos of participants and activities to have posted on our Facebook page, the website, and on our Flickr account. Please send us an email or give us a call  if you are interested.

GRANTS WRITER
We are looking for a volunteer to help us find and apply for grants that are available to support what we do.  Please send us an email or give us a call  if you are interested.
 
VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR
To have a successful event happen, we need some amount of volunteers. To have that amount of volunteers, we need someone who is there to assist in recruiting volunteers for our clean up events, board membership, beautification events, etc. We need a volunteer coordinator for making our events very successful ones. Please email us if you are interested. 
 
BOARD MEMBERS
Do you have a passion for our community environment and are willing to get your hands dirty?  We are a grassroots nonprofit organization that is totally dependent on volunteers.  As a board member you would be required to attend our monthly meetings and participate in our events, especially our large spring and fall clean up events. Please email or call us us if you are interested.
 

STORM WATER MONITORING

Volunteers will be trained in the Texas Stream Team program—a state-wide volunteer training program—to take measurements of dissolved oxygen, pH, temperature, and conductivity in water samples. This information offers a good indication of the health of the stream and provides baseline data to be used in future planning. This program is also an excellent way to participate in the community, help protect local resources, and enjoy the outdoors by volunteering just 2 hours a month.
