STORM WATER MONITORING

Volunteers will be trained in the Texas Stream Team program—a state-wide volunteer training program—to take measurements of dissolved oxygen, pH, temperature, and conductivity in water samples. This information offers a good indication of the health of the stream and provides baseline data to be used in future planning. This program is also an excellent way to participate in the community, help protect local resources, and enjoy the outdoors by volunteering just 2 hours a month.

TRASH BASH

KFMB Trash Bash - September 18, 2010 - 8:30 - 12:30

Please join us for our fall trash event. We will be meeting at Gerault Park where participants will be assigned an area - park, trail, waterway, or roadway in Flower Mound to go to. Please bring heavy gloves if possible and wear long sleeved shirts, long pants, and boots if you can. We will have some gloves available, bags, and grabbers for use.

We will meet back at Gerault at 12:00 for lunch and prizes.
