Awarded Every Quarter
The overall goal of the Landscape Beautification Award is to recognize individuals and businesses that exemplify the vision of Keep Flower Mound Beautiful. The award is chosen by volunteers each quarter.
Residential Property Criteria
Well-groomed, beautification, originality and creativity.
Landscapes are required to be:

Attractive, pleasing to the eye (variety of plants such as trees, shrubs, ground cover, flowers, plants with a variety of heights, textures, and colors, landscape features such as fountains, large rocks in beds etc.)

Additional consideration is given to properties that have invested extra effort through the use of :

Native Plants
-
Water conservation-rain barrels, minimum grass usage or use of native grasses

Wildlife habitat example: Birdhouses, bird feeders, bird baths

Business Property Criteria
(Same at Residential as well as listed below)

Business must maintain trash and cigarette receptacles at entrances/exits and on the parking lot.

Additional consideration is given to properties that have invested extra effort through the use of recycling practices.

A reason why this property deserves the award

A digital photo of the property

The recipients will receive a yard sign for the quarter and will be removed after 30 days

A Certificate signed by the Mayor and KFMB Chair
